New England College has developed a program in educational leadership that offers valuable lessons in the psychology of learning communities, the dynamics of curriculum, instruction, education reform, and the methods of evaluation and assessment. As directed by the nation`s ongoing goal to improve the quality of instruction and student success in schools, the MSEL will arm you with the education and experience needed to satisfy your passion for educational reform, and allow you to witness how your contribution aids in your school`s development into an institution based on student success. After completing the core curriculum, which consists of courses in the K-12 area, you may choose to pursue either the principal or superintendent strand. In the principal strand, you will revitalize your personal vision of leadership, refine leadership skills and further develop your management style. In the superintendent strand, the MSEL will help aspiring leaders obtain the skills, knowledge, attitudes and behaviors required of effective school leadership. |
