The Colorado Tech Online Bachelor of Science in Accounting is designed to teach students to develop critical problem-solving skills in accounting and management. They will also enhance their skills in communication, decision-making, mathematics and lifelong learning. The program also focuses on how to work within the guidelines of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and professional ethical codes. Topics covered in this 17-month* Bachelor`s degree program include the principles of corporate accounting, taxation, governmental and not-for-profit accounting and auditing. The Colorado Tech Online Bachelor of Science in Accounting also includes five résumé-enhancing CTU Academic Certificates students will earn incrementally throughout the program. Students completing this degree program will be able to apply the knowledge and skills of accounting, management, business mathematics and the liberal arts to identify, formulate, resolve and communicate relevant accounting issues. Successful graduates will be equipped to pursue such careers as: Budget Analyst, General Accountant, Internal Auditor, Cash Management Officer, Loan Officer, Tax Auditor and many other in-demand positions. *The 17-month Bachelor’s degree assumes that all Associate-level requirements have been met through an Associate degree or the equivalent.
